Jeff Gulle is a nationally acclaimed, award-winning photographer with a lifelong career dedicated to both photography and education. Over the years, he has excelled in multiple photographic disciplines, including commercial photography, photojournalism, forensic photography, and general photography for the state of Georgia. After retiring as a Photography Department Chair at the college level, he now focuses on the motion picture industry.

 

Jeff holds a Diploma and Associate’s degree in Photography, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Art/Photography. He is a Master of Photography, Photographic Craftsman, and Certified Professional Photographer through the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). As one of the select few CPP Instructors certified by the PPA, he also serves as a PPA image/print judge at state conventions. His dedication to the craft has earned him the Fellowship Degree and Service Degree from the Georgia Professional Photographers Association, along with the Service Degree from the American Society of Photographers.

 

 

 

Jeff’s talent and dedication have been recognized through numerous accolades. He has been named

Georgia PPA’s Photographer of the Year four times and has received:

  • Five Lexjet Sunset Awards
  • Four Kodak Gallery Awards
  • Three Certified Professional Photography Awards
  • One Fuji Masterpiece Award
    In addition to these, he has earned countless other awards throughout his career.

A passionate educator, Jeff thrives on inspiring others to follow their creative passions. He has been a national speaker at Imaging USA and leads photography seminars for PPA, the Georgia Professional Photographers Association, and the John C. Campbell Folk School, among others. His teaching career began in the early 1990s at the Southeastern Center for the Arts in Atlanta alongside Neil Chaput, and since then, he has influenced thousands of students. Jeff is also a strong advocate for SkillsUSA, where his students have achieved remarkable success, including a National Champion title in photography, multiple top-four national placements, and several state championships in both photography and video production.

 

Currently only working as desired, Jeff continues to specialize in portraiture, though his true passion lies in landscape, nature, and macro photography. He remains involved in the film industry, working with Weta Digital as a studio photographer, a role known as "The Photo Booth." His work has included capturing studio portraits of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Will Smith, Alexandra Daddario, Dwayne Johnson, Clive Owen, Malin Akerman, and Naomie Harris, among others.

 

In the 90's Jeff began business ventures outside of photography and he has owned multiple business's starting with his own communications company, a chain of collateral loan stores, a restaurant and gift shop. Jeff lives in the north Georgia area with his wife of over 30 years.

 

Jeff has been a ham radio operator for over 25 years and holds a General License with the FCC.  He is a member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) and is a Registered Licensed Instructor and Volunteer Examiner.

 

If the Gulle name brought you to this website, Jeff is filipino and his mother is from Paniqui, Tarlac and his father (Jesus A. Gulle) is from Cebu.  His father and his uncle, Jimmy Alcantara, went to Guam and joined the US Army to come to the United States of America.
